Weak and Loved- a note to my friends

Dear Church Family,

It is so exciting to me that so many of you are reading my book.  Thank you so much for all the kind words, the encouragement, and the enthusiasm you have!  Again, I find myself built up an helped by this fantastic church family here at White Creek, just as I did when Aggie was sick.

If you have read my book, and especially if you walked away with a sense of guilt and feeling that you wish you would have done more to help us through that trial, please, take a minute to read my note to you on my blog today!

I am thanking God for our dear Christian family here at White Creek today!

God's Will?

And the leper came to Jesus, imploring him, and kneeling said to him, "If you will, you can make me clean."

Jesus was moved with pity.

was heart-wrenched; his guts knotted up (splagchnizomai!)

saw the person and his physical and spiritual need and was MOVED - He aches for us

Jesus is moved with pity for us as well, when he sees our physical needs, and our gaping, disgusting spiritual needs.

Jesus touched the leper.

Jesus and the Leper Pictures, Images and Photos

"I will. Be cleansed."

He wills.

Jesus shows us at every turn that He is trustworthy. He wills that we be cleansed.

He wills our life, health, and salvation.

Knowing our hearts, knowing the sin that plagues us constantly, knowing that we betray the One who blesses us, He wills that we take refuge in Him.

Thy will be done, Jesus. Amen

Running towards...

If the compass is off by just a fraction of a degree, it will lead you to the wrong place entirely.

Have you allowed God's Word to reorient you lately?

Father, turn us from our sin, point us in the right direction, and carry us home.  We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Grace After Abortion

Please watch this video to hear how Sydna found peace and healing after her abortion.
(If you haven't heard the first part of her story yet, please click here.)

What an amazing testimony to the love God has for all of us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic.

Please, email me if you are interested in learning more about healing after abortion, whether for yourself or in reaching out to someone else. I would be happy to talk with you, and I will keep all information confidential.

February 5 Weekly News

ASTOR BRANDT’S BIBLE STUDY: “I realize that my years are limited that I will be able to lead a Bible Study. But I plan to continue as long as my physical and mental health permit and as long as it is enjoyable. (The members of the class make it enjoyable for me.) I can’t recollect teaching the Epistle of Galatians, although I may have. I can’t remember what specific Books of the Bible I have taught during the 62 years plus that I have been in the ministry. Galatians has lessons in it pertinent to today. Class will begin this Thursday, February 9, at 10:30 AM in the Fellowship Room. I think that those who have attended in the past mean it when they say they are looking forward to the class.” – Pastor Brandt (Contact Becky in the church office to enroll.)

2011 CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS are available from financial secretary, Chris Newkirk. If you have not yet received yours, check with her after church today.

THE LUTHERAN LAYMEN’S LEAGUE Annual Spring Banquet is scheduled for next Sunday, February 12, at St. Peter’s Lutheran in Columbus.
