LWML MISSION MOMENTS:
154 delegates awarded $120,000 in mission grants at the LWML convention
in June. Hands of Mercy received $10,000. The plight of people with disabilities in
the South Sudan is often even more deplorable than the poverty of its people,
with access to the community and church life often denied them due to
discrimination and prejudice. With this
grant, Hands of Mercy will establish a training center connected to the
Lutheran Church in EZO, South Sudan. This training center will equip people
with disabilities with skills in self sustaining projects and equip them
spiritually with the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
