LWML SPRING RALLY: Our Ladies Aid will
join with Immanuel, Seymour, to host the
LWML Columbus and Seymour Zones Spring Rally at Immanuel this coming Saturday,
April 26. Registration and breakfast
will begin at 8:45 AM ($5 for registration).
The Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez will speak about building a Lutheran school on
a recent mission trip to Haiti. All
Ladies of the congregation are invited to attend.
ALTAR GUILD VOLUNTEERS are still needed for
June and July. If you would be able to
help one of these months, please contact Cari Hercamp (812-528-0547) or Becky
in the church office.
MAY CALENDAR AND NEWS ITEMS need to be submitted
to Becky by TOMORROW.
LADIES AID will meet this Wednesday, April 23, at 9:00
AM for Bible study and their monthly meeting, followed by work on crafts and
service projects. Mite boxes will be
received at this meeting. Guests are
always welcome to join them!
DONATIONS OF old, but usable mattress pads are needed by
the Ladies Aid for their service project for Family Services. The pads will be used as fillers for floor
quilts - please give to any Ladies Aid member or bring to the church office.
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet this
Wednesday evening, April 23, after worship (7:30).
THE ANNIVERSARY PLANNING COMMITTEE will meet this
Thursday, April 24, at 7:00 PM.
SENIOR LEAGUE MEMBERS are reminded they
will meet next Sunday evening, April 27, at 5:30 PM for supper and then return
to the Fellowship Room for their monthly meeting and socializing.
TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE for our school's
upcoming musical, "Jonah's Druthers," this Friday, April 25, and
Saturday, April 26, at 6:30 PM both evenings.
Cost is $2/person - contact Mrs. Vandercar at wvandercar@whitecreek.org
or Becky in the church office. There are
plenty of seats available at both shows, but please reserve your tickets - you
may pay for them at the door.
PHIL'S FRIENDS WALK: The 2nd Annual Phil's Friends
Walk will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 10:00 AM here at White Creek. A sign-up sheet to walk will be in the
narthex, or contact Janet Morey at 812-350-6238 to register. Phil Zielke will be at the Walk and will also
be speaking at Pastor Cook's Bible Class on Sunday, May 4. Donations of large print Bibles or devotional
books, small bottles of lotion, soft, indivdually packed toothbrushes, small
containers of toothpaste, word game books for adults, Christian CDs, journals,
women's fuzzy socks, women's hats, men's caps, blankets, small boxes of tea and
coffee are need for the care packages. A
container is in the narthex to receive items.
