THE LUTHERAN WITNESS:  Persons who would like to order/renew their subscription to The Lutheran Witness may contact Becky in the church office.  Cost for the year subscription is $18.  Checks may be made payable to our church.  Order deadline is TODAY.

 

SENIOR LEAGUE MEMBERS will meet at 5:30 PM THIS EVENING at the Waymansville Fish Fry and then return to the Fellowship Room for their monthly meeting and socializing.

 

PERSONS ARE REMINDED that their 2014 pledge to our "Arise and Build" building program is due by October 31.  Pledge envelopes are available in the narthex.

 

NOVEMBER CALENDAR AND NEWS ITEMS need to be submitted to Becky by TOMORROW.

 

LADIES AID MEMBERS are reminded of their Bible study and meeting this Wednesday at 9:00 AM, followed by their craft workshop.

 

THE BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet this Wednesday after the worship service (7:30 PM).

 

GROUP PICTURES for our upcoming church directory will be taken after worship next Sunday, October 26, and the following Sunday, November 2, with the following schedule:  Oct. 26-Board of Evangelism, Board of Stewardship, Foundation Board, Ladies Aid, Guild, Senior League, Sunday School Teachers; Nov. 2-Board of Elders, Church Council, Board of Education, Church Trustees, Ushers, Altar Guild, Beautification.  Youth groups will be taken at their meeting.

SCHEDULING for taking family pictures for the church directory will be done after worship next Sunday, October 26, and November 2, 9, and 16.  Questions???  Contact Beth Burbrink (812-343-2856).

 

THE FOUNDATION BOARD will meet in the sanctuary on Sunday, November 9, after worship.

ST. PETER, WAYMANSVILLE, Adult Fellowship will be sponsoring their annual Fish Fry THIS EVENING from 4:00-7:00 PM.  Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will provide supplemental funds.  Everyone invited.

 

FUNDRAISER FOR HALIE BRUMLEY: A Soup & Sandwich Supper & Silent Auction fundraiser will be held this coming Saturday, October 25, from 5:00-8:00 PM at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds Pavilion.  Proceeds will go to help the Brumley family purchase a service dog for Halie, who still suffers from seizures.  The 1100 South Band will play, and there will be pumpkins for the children.  Everyone invited.

 

FALL SOUP SUPPER:  St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown, will be hosting their annual Soup Supper next Sunday, October 26, from 4:00-7:00 PM.  The menu will include various soups and sandwiches as well as assorted homemade salads and desserts.  Also featured will be a "Country Store," featuring fresh garden produce, handmade crafts, and homemade baked items.  Everyone is invited to come and share in delicious food and Christian fellowship.

 

CAMP LAKEVIEW will hold its 10th Annual Dinner Auction on Saturday, November 22, at the Clarion Hotel in Columbus.  In order to make this a success, your help is needed!  If you have new items, collectibles, antiques, goods or services, handicraft items, monetary donations, or even a week at your time-share that you would like to donate to the auction, please contact Lakeview Ministries at 812-342-4815.  All donations are tax-deductible, and all proceeds benefit the work of God at Lakeview Ministries.

 

SEVERAL DISHES, pans, and crockpots from the Smorgasbord and funeral dinner are on the table in the hall by the Fellowship Room.  Please pick up today.
