MEMBERS OF THE CHURCH FOUNDATION will meet briefly
today after worship. Please remain in
church.
SENIOR LEAGUE MEMBERS are reminded they
will meet this evening at Bob Evans Restaurant at 5:30 PM for supper and then
return to the Fellowship Room for their monthly meeting and socializing.
A SPECIAL VOTERS' MEETING will be held after
church on Sunday, May 18, in the Fellowship Room to update/approve our school
staffing for next school year. All
members of our congregation, 18 years and older, are encouraged to attend.
DONATIONS OF old, but usable mattress pads are needed by
the Ladies Aid for their service project for Family Services. The pads will be used as fillers for floor
quilts - please give to any Ladies Aid member or bring to the church office.
PHIL'S FRIENDS WALK: The 2nd Annual Phil's Friends
Walk will be held this coming Saturday, May 3, at 10:00 AM here at White
Creek. A sign-up sheet to walk is in the
narthex, or contact Janet Morey at 812-350-6238 to register. Phil Zielke will be at the Walk and will also
be speaking at Pastor Cook's Bible Class on Sunday, May 4. Donations of large print Bibles or devotional
books, small bottles of lotion, soft, indivdually packed toothbrushes, small
containers of toothpaste, word game books for adults, Christian CDs, journals,
women's fuzzy socks, women's hats, men's caps, blankets, small boxes of tea and
coffee are need for the care packages. A
container is in the narthex to receive items.
THRIVENT MEMBERS: If you have Thrivent Choice funds
to designate, please do so. During the
months of April and May an extra $20 will be given to the organization to which
you designate your funds (limit of one organization). Questions???

BUILDING PROJECT
UPDATE: The exterior
walls are taking form as block is added to the initial poured forms. Electrical connections are being rerouted
this week so that the block can continue upward. The troublesome air conditioner pad (which
led to water seepage in the cafeteria) has been replaced with improved drainage
connections. The new stainless counters
and roll-up window openings are scheduled to be installed on May 10 and May 17
so as not to disrupt the school lunch service.
TRINITY LUTHERAN HIGH
SCHOOL will hold an Honor's Convocation on Wednesday, May
7, at 7:00 PM in the Bollinger gymnasium.
Students will receive scholarships and awards, and the senior class will
be recognized as well. All are invited
to come and be a part of the celebration.
