June 29 Weekly News


WE REJOICE WITH Micah & Monica Buss as they bring their son, WILLIAM DANG BUSS, to be baptized this morning.  William's sponsors are his uncle, Jordan Buss, and family friend, Emily McKinney.  God's blessings to you, William!

 

PORTALS OF PRAYER devotional booklets are available in the narthex for those who did not get one last Sunday.  Large print are also available.

 

JULY CALENDAR AND NEWS will be available from the ushers after today's worship.

 

THE CHURCH OFFICE will be closed this Friday in observance of the July 4th holiday.

 

THE CHURCH COUNCIL will meet this Wednesday evening, July 2, after the worship service.  All members are urged to attend.

 

THE QUARTERLY VOTERS' MEETING will be held next Sunday, July 6, after the worship service.  All confirmed members of our congregation, 18 years and older, are encouraged to attend.

 

QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER ITEMS need to be submitted to Becky by Monday, July 7.

 

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED to serve on a committee to help update the church history book and the family history information that is in the back of the church history book.  Contact Mary Anne Schneider at 812-521-2984 or mschneider@whitecreek.org if you are interested in helping with this.

 

 

PARENTS OF our WCLS students are reminded to pick up report cards and lunch statements TODAY if you have not already done so.  They are available on the table in the office.

 

A FUNDRAISER FOR THE WESSEL FAMILY, sponsored by St. Paul, Clifty, Preschool, will be held at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fair, which begins this Friday, July 4, and runs through Saturday, July 12.  Containers will be set out at most of the food stands all week to receive donations.

 

TRINITY LADIES AID SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS have been mailed to those students attending Trinity this coming school year.  Those applications need to be completed and returned to the church office by July 15.

 

BETTY McCRORY has moved to the nursing home in Nashville.  Cards of greeting and encouragement may be sent to her at Brown County Health & Living Community, 55 E. Willow St., P.O. Box 667, Nashville, IN  47448-0667.

 

ST. PETER, WAYMANSVILLE, SPROUTS PRESCHOOL has openings in its 3-year-old class (Tues. and Thurs.) and 4-year-old class (Mon., Wed., Fri.) for the coming school year.  For more information or to register, call Michelle Schultz at 342-4322.

 

REDS/METS BASEBALL GAME: Tickets for the September 7 baseball game between the Cincinnati Reds and the New York Mets at Cincinnati are still available for $22.50/person.  See the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the school hall.  Persons who order tickets are asked to pay for them immediately (checks payable to White Creek Lutheran School) as this has been charged to our school’s credit card.
