SUNDAY
SCHOOL/BIBLE CLASS will be held after worship today,
10:30-11:15. Please note that no classes
will be held next Sunday, Palm Sunday, and on Easter Sunday, April 16, Easter
fun will be held after the Easter breakfast, but no classes that day either.
OUR
MIDWEEK LENTEN WORSHIP, Behold,
Your King: Meditation on Selected Royal Psalms, continues this Wednesday at
7:00 p.m. Psalm 110 is the selected
reading for this worship. The Youth will
be serving a pulled pork sandwich supper before worship, beginning at 5:45 p.m.
PALM
SUNDAY WORSHIP: We
will have two worship services next Sunday, Palm Sunday, April 9. The first service will begin at 8:45
a.m. The second service will begin at
10:30 a.m. and will include the confirmation of our eleven eighth grade students. ***Please note: A palm procession will be
included in both services, so all children present at each service are asked to
meet (8:30 early service and 10:15 late service) in the front hall of school to
get their palms.
THERE
IS A SIGN-UP SHEET in the narthex for anyone who is
interested in learning about what it means to reach out to inactive members of
our congregation. The training focuses
primarily on how to go about having conversations with those who have not been
attending for one reason or another.

ADULT
BIBLE STUDY:
Who are the Mormons? What do they
believe? How do we talk to them and
share the message of Jesus? Beginning
April 23, Pastor Whitmore will be leading a study that will focus on these
questions and more. This study is based
on a video series that was put out by the Lutheran Hour. Everyone is welcome!
THE QUARTERLY VOTERS’ MEETING will be held this
evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Room.
All confirmed members of our congregation, 18 years and older, are
encouraged to attend.
YOUTH will meet this
evening at 7:00 p.m.
ALTAR FLOWERS: If you would like to place Easter
lilies/Spring flowers on the altar/in the narthex for Easter, please contact
Karen Schlehuser by Monday, April 10.
Lilies may be ordered through Karen or purchased individually. (Spring flowers purchased on your own.)
GUILD MEMBERS are reminded of
their meeting this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
Baskets for shut-ins will be assembled.
A list of donations needed was emailed to members last week.
BOARD OF ELDERS will meet this
Wednesday evening after the midweek Lenten worship (8:00 p.m.)
CONFIRMATION QUESTIONING for our student
confirmands will be held next Saturday, April 8, at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is
invited to come and support these young people as they profess their faith.
THIS WEDNESDAY, April 5,
organist, Dr. David K. Lamb, will present the Noontime Lenten Recital at St.
Paul Lutheran Church, Clifty. Everyone
is cordially invited. Admission is free.
THE MITE BOX is in the narthex
to receive LWML mite offerings. Mite
boxes are also available for your home collection.
THE COLUMBUS ZONE LWML SPRING RALLY will be held at
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Franklin, on Saturday, April 22.
Registration/light breakfast will begin at 9:00 AM. ($5 for registration), with
opening devotions at 9:30 a.m. The
program will be a Holy Land Tour by Jon & Sharon Clark from Good
Shepherd. The business meeting and
Mediterranean style luncheon will follow.
All ladies of the congregation are invited to attend.

spring flower basket sale. Various
types/colors of hanging flowers are available for $20 (from Whipker’s
Market). See any WCLS student to order,
or orders may be placed through the church/school office. Orders with payments are due by Monday, April
