June 3 Weekly News

WE REJOICE at the baptism of AMELIA JOY OTTE yesterday.  Amelia’s sponsor is Sara Otte with Olivia Kelley serving as a witness.  God’s blessings to you always, Amelia!

YOUTH will meet this evening at 7:00 pm.

THE MONTHLY ELDERS MEETING will be held this Wednesday evening after worship.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be held here at White Creek June 11-14, 6:00-8:00 p.m. each evening for children age 4-6th grade.  The registration deadline has passed, so if you would still like to attend, please contact Jessica Morphew at 812-343-9110.

YOUTH MEAL DEALS:  The Senior High Youth are offering “Meal Deals” to raise funds so they can attend the 2019 LCMS Youth Gathering in Minneapolis, MN, next summer.  Starting today, sign-up sheets are on the table in the narthex for a silent auction to bid on these meals.  Each Sunday/Wednesday for several months, you can bid on the two different meals being offered.  The highest bidders will be announced after church on the last Sunday of each month and will be able to pay for and pick up their “Meal Deal” at that time.  The first two “Meal Deals” are 9x13 breakfast casseroles: 1) egg, ham and cheese casserole, sweet rolls, and fresh fruit and 2) egg and sausage casserole, muffins, and a fruit salad.  Many thanks to all for your support!

A BAKE SALE will also be held by the Senior High Youth on Sunday, June 17, after worship.

BRICKS for our church sidewalk and memory garden may be ordered any time through Labor Day.  Bricks are $100 and may be ordered by contacting Ernie & Donna Dettmer (812-522-8045).

DID YOU BRING your baby bottle back yet?  The Baby Bottle Campaign ends Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17.  Bottles may be returned to the container in the narthex.  Your giving will make a tremendous difference for pregnant women and for their children.  Every filled baby bottle is a gift that helps to save a life.  Join in and make a difference, one life at a time.

OPEN HOUSES:  Everyone is invited to Camp Lakeview’s Open House TODAY, beginning with a worship service at 11:00am and to   the Open House at Camp Cedarbrook next Saturday, June 9, with a worship service at 10:00am.  Both worship services will be followed by a BBQ lunch and many activities for the entire family to enjoy!  Free-will donations will be accepted to offset expenses for the day.

CHURCH OFFICE HOURS will be flexible through July 13.  Please call before you come to make sure someone is in.

T BLESSINGS ON YOUR WEEK! T
