THE NEXT SCHOOL FUNDING MEETING will be held tomorrow
evening, Monday, February 8, at 6:30 PM.
This meeting is for the large group so they can hear the report of the
sub-committee members who have been meeting the last couple of months.
THE SEASON OF LENT will begin with Ash Wednesday this week
Wednesday, February 10. Pastor Jung will
be leading worship with Holy Communion beginning at 7:00 PM. There will be no supper served before worship
this Wednesday. Please note the insert
included with today’s bulletin.
PARENTS OF 8TH GRADE CONFIRMANDS are asked to meet with
Mrs. Buss next Sunday, February 14, after worship for information regarding
questioning and confirmation. Please
meet in the front pews of church.
WCLS ENROLLMENT: White
Creek Lutheran School is now accepting enrollment for the 2016-2017 school
year. If you know of any new families
who might be interested in enrollment information, please contact Mrs.
Buss. Enrollment forms are available in
the office.
WHITE CREEK LUTHERAN SCHOOL is seeking a teacher
for the coming school year for grades 6-8 departmentalized in the areas of
science and social studies. Appropriate
licensing is required. Please send
resumes to the school office by March 4.
AD POSITION: White Creek’s athletic
director, Amy Sciano, has told the school she would like to take some time off
due to the birth of her new baby. She is
willing to continue with the scheduling, paperwork, etc. OR to hand the entire
position over to another person. If you
are interested or would like to know more about the AD position, please contact
the school office.
AN ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE will be held this coming weekend, Friday
– Sunday, February 12-14. A trailer will
be parked on the church/school grounds to receive items. This drive is sponsored by our school parent
organization, the WCA.
VALENTINE DATE NIGHT BABYSITTING will be provided by our
Junior High Youth this Friday evening, February 12, from 6:00-10:00 p.m. Bring
your children to the school gym and enjoy a night out! A free-will donation will be accepted. Snacks (not a meal) will be provided.
TRINITY LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL invites students and
their families to its final open house on Sunday, February 21, from 2:00-4:00
PM during the boys’ LIT tourney. All
interested 8th grade students will receive a $75 voucher that covers
half of the registration costs at Trinity for the 2016-2017 school year. Please enter through the commons.

SPRING BANQUET: Mark your calendars for the Spring Banquet of
the Lutheran Laymen’s League, which will be held here at White Creek on Sunday,
March 6. Registration will begin at 5:30
PM, followed by the meal, entertainment, elections, and the guest speaker. Tickets are $15/person and are available in
our church office or from Keith Mensendiek (812-343-3288).
