NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK is being observed this week. We give thanks and praise to God for our
White Creek Lutheran School and ask for His continued blessings on our
Christian education ministry here at St. John’s.
THE ANNUAL VOTERS’ MEETING will be held TODAY at 1:30 PM in
church. Copies of the meeting agenda are available in the narthex for those who
did not yet receive one. All confirmed members of our congregation, 18 years
and older are encouraged to attend.
BABYSITTING will be provided by some of our youth
members during today’s Voters’ Meeting.
Children may be brought to the gym.
CHURCH NURSERY: Due
to very limited usage, our church nursery will no longer be staffed; however,
parents are encouraged to be considerate of their fellow worshipers and use the
kindergarten room in school if their child becomes restless and needs a break
from the worship service. Ushers are
always available for any assistance needed.
FEBRUARY CALENDAR AND NEWS ITEMS need to be given to Becky by TOMORROW.
OPEN HOUSE:
Our annual White Creek Lutheran School Open House will be held Friday,
February 5, from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
Interested persons are invited to visit classes during the course of the
day. Teachers will be available to
answer questions in between instruction times.

that day. (In case of inclement weather,
the Open House will be held on Monday, February 8, 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.)
PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION: St. Paul, Clifty, Preschool is now
registering students for the 2016-2017 school year. Classes for 3 year olds (Little Lambs) and 4
year olds (Little Doves) are being offered. Contact Chris Behmlander, Director,

A SOUP SUPPER/EUCHRE
PARTY
will be held at St. Peter, Waymansville, on Sunday, January 31. The supper will begin at 5:00 PM ($5/person),
with the Euchre party beginning at 6:30 PM ($5/person). This event is being sponsored by Thrivent
Financial for Lutherans, with all proceeds going to support the Orphan Grain
Train. Everyone invited.
CAMP LAKEVIEW: Online registration for Lakeview Ministries
will open on February 1st at 9:00 AM. For more information, visit the camp’s

at 812-342-4815. Pre-registration is
open during January, so visit the website and set up your user account
today! Brochures were sent with our
school students and are available in the narthex.
CHURCH PLATE AVAILABLE: A church plate commemorating the 125th
anniversary of our church building with dates of 1862-1987 is available to
anyone interested – please check with Becky in the church office – first come,
first serve.
