SUNDAY
SCHOOL AND ADULT BIBLE STUDY will not meet today
after church – instead, come and enjoy lunch and special Reformation
activities!
SUNDAY
SCHOOL will begin practice for the Christmas program next
Sunday, November 5. If your child(ren)
cannot attend Sunday School that day, but would like to participate in the
program, please call Jessica Morphew (812-343-9110) or email her at sundayschool@whitecreek.org.
PIE SUNDAY: If
you did not get a pie sheet last Sunday, you may get one from the narthex
today. Please complete this pie sheet
(you may also color it if you like!) and return it so it can be posted on the
windows in the narthex. The Christian
Growth Card for each family is also available in the narthex to help each
family sit down and consider what gifts God has given to them and
what they are doing with those gifts. These will then be put into
sealed envelopes to be put in a basket in the church on Pie Sunday, November
12th. If you already have a Christian Growth Card, please
bring it back on the 12th. Next year they will be given back to each
family so they can see how they did with the goals that they set.
NOVEMBER CALENDAR AND NEWS will be available
from the ushers after today’s worship.
THE LUTHERAN WITNESS: Persons who would like to order/renew their
subscription to The Lutheran Witness may contact Becky in the church
office. Cost for the year subscription
is $19. Checks may be made payable to
our church. Order deadline is Sunday, November
12.
BUILDING
FUND ENVELOPES are available in the narthex for your
remaining pledge/contribution to our “Arise and Build” school expansion
project.
THE
ELDERS will meet this Wednesday after Worship.
CONGRATULATIONS
TO Pastor & Jennifer Whitmore on the birth of their
son, JACOB BENJAMIN, last Monday, October 23.
Jacob arrived weighing 8 lbs. 3 ozs. and measuring 20.5 ins. Everyone is doing fine. God’s blessings to them!
HUGE
SUCCESS: Thank you to all who helped make the
Friends of Germany Ethnic Expo booth and float a huge success. Not only did our float win the Mayor’s Choice
Award, but our booth raised almost $9,000 for Orphan Grain Train! God provided many helping hands, great
weather, and a hungry community, the perfect combination which resulted in a
completely sell out! To God be the
glory!
“LEGACY OF FAITH” is the theme for
the 13th Annual Lakeview Dinner Auction, which will be held on
Saturday, November 18, at the Primo Banquet Hall & Conference Center in
Indianapolis. Tickets are $50/person or

GERMAN HERITAGE EVENT: Guest speaker, Ken Selking, will give two

Germany who came to America in 1838 to serve people on the frontier
(Indiana). There will be a church

Trinity Auction to be held on Saturday, February 24, at Trinity Lutheran High
School.
STEWARDSHIP
THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: John 8:36
“So if the Son
sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Happy 500th Anniversary of the
Reformation! Luther is rightly
remembered as a champion of the Gospel – but he also called himself “the
apostle of good works.” For only in
being set free by the Gospel can we do good works. Jesus has set us free: His blood covers over our sins and now we
stand before God as His beloved children, invited to live our lives to His
glory for the good of His Kingdom.
T BLESSINGS ON YOUR WEEK! T
