THE ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN will host a fundraiser next Sunday, October 6, at 5:30 PM at the Clarion Hotel, Columbus.  A meal will be served at no charge, and all attendees are asked to support the work of the OGT.  The OGT Indiana branch operates completely with volunteers and gives all support to the poor and needy.  The program includes a speaker who serves about 100 Lutheran congregations in the Chicago area with a goal to help the needy and will also provide a presentation on the future of the OGT in Indiana since the present leader is retiring.  See Pastor Cook to make a seating reservation at his table at this event.  More information about the OGT is available in the narthex.

TLHS SERVANT EVENT:  Each year Trinity Lutheran High School students participate in two servant events - once in the fall and again in the spring.  This is an opportunity for the students to give back to their community.  Last year, during our spring servant event, students provided over 500 hours of community service, giving their time and talent to community organizations, churches, and schools.  If you know of an organization, or if your school and church have a project in mind and are in need of volunteers, please email David Sandhage at dsandhage@trinitycougars.org or call the school office (812-524-8547) and request to speak to him.  Trinity's Fall Servant Event will be held on Wednesday, November 13, during regular school hours.
