LENT CONTINUES with midweek worship Wednesday at 7 PM. The Guild will be serving a chicken tetrazinni supper before worship, beginning at 5:45 PM.
PARENTS OF this year’s eighth grade confirmands are asked to meet today after worship.
GUILD MEMBERS are reminded of their meeting this evening at 7 PM in the Fellowship Room. Please bring 2 dozen cookies and 4 pieces of fruit for the college students/shut-ins baskets.
LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK: This week we celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week. Thanks are given to God for the many blessings He has bestowed on our school, including this congregation whose prayers and financial support enable our students to attend our Christian day school!
BOARD OF EDUCATION members are reminded of their meeting next Sunday, March 11, after worship.
CAMP LAKEVIEW will be dedicating the new Main Lodge at Lakeview Villages to the glory of God during a worship service at 2:00 PM TODAY. The guest speaker will be Pastor Daniel May, President of the LCMS Indiana District. Cake and refreshments will be served. Come out and see this wonderful new addition to the camp’s ministry! TLHS VARIETY SHOW: As part of the celebration of National Lutheran Schools Week, Trinity Lutheran High School will be having a Variety Show this Friday, March 9, beginning at 7 PM in the high school gymnasium. The cost is $5 per person. The night will provide lots of laughter and entertainment for all ages! Everyone invited.

February 26 Weekly News
LENT CONTINUES with midweek worship Wednesday at 7 PM. The Lutheran Men’s Chorus will be singing during the service. Our school will be sponsoring a lasagna supper before worship, beginning at 5:45 PM, with all proceeds going to our school’s scholarship fund.
MARCH CALENDAR AND NEWS will be available from the ushers after today’s service.
TURKEY SUPPER: Lord of Life Lutheran Church, North Vernon, will be sponsoring their annual turkey supper next Saturday, March 3, from 4-7 PM. Take-out available. Everyone invited.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE: Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour is seeking names of qualified persons for two positions that will become vacant at the end of May, 2012:
Director of Music: This individual is to have overall responsibility for the organ, choral, hand-bell and instrumental music programs at Immanuel Lutheran Church and Immanuel Lutheran School. The individual must be a rostered commissioned minister of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and have a valid teaching diploma.
Math Teacher: This individual will be a classroom teacher with math specialization at Immanuel Lutheran School. The individual must be a rostered commissioned minister of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod with a valid teaching diploma and math certification.

Keep praying for baby Broc!
Broc is still in the hospital with breathing problems- please keep him and the whole family in prayer!
They are hoping he will be released this weekend, but it depends on how he is breathing.

February 19 Weekly News
WE GIVE THANKS TO GOD for the mission of Lutheran Hour Ministries. Information will be passed out after worship today, and giving envelopes are available in the narthex for individual gifts. Newsletters from Pastor Ted Krey, last week’s guest speaker at the LLL banquet, will also be available.
LENT: The season of Lent will begin this week with Ash Wednesday. Worship will begin at 7 PM and will include the Imposition of Ashes. The Guild will be serving a soup and sandwich supper before worship, beginning at 5:45 PM.
THE BOARD OF EDUCATION will meet after worship today.
SENIOR LEAGUE MEMBERS will gather this evening at 5:30 PM at Papa’s Grill at West Hill for supper and then return to the Fellowship Room for their monthly meeting and socializing.
YOUTH will meet at 7 PM this evening.
THE ALUMINUM CAN DRIVE continues yet today. The trailer is parked on the south side of church to receive items.

OPEN HOUSE: Trinity Lutheran High School invites students and their families to an open house today from 2:00-4:00 PM. All eighth grade students are encouraged to attend the boys’ LIT championship game after the open house. New applicants will receive a $75 voucher to be used toward the price of admission for the 2012-2013 school year. Please enter through the commons.
LADIES AID MEMBERS are reminded of their meeting this Wednesday. The workday will begin at 9 AM, followed by the Bible Study and meeting at 11 AM. The Bible Study, “God’s Mirror,” will be taken from page 19 of the fall LWML Quarterly. Mite Boxes will be collected.
THE MITE BOX will be in the narthex during February to receive mites, which are used for missions by the LWML. Extra boxes are also available on the Mite Box table.
