CONGREGATIONAL HISTORY:  From 1836-1838, a number of people left Hannover, Germany, and traveled to Cincinnati, Ohio, where many Germans and members of their own home parishes had already settled.  They came with little other than a sense of freedom from spiritual, military, and economic pressure.

DEPOSITS OF $114.00 and $30 have been made to the church and Foundation accounts on behalf of Thrivent Financial's Thrivent Choice program by the directed choice dollars of the following:  Larry Claycamp, David Manley.

SEMINAR:  Disagreements, misunderstandings, and jumping to conclusions cause us problems between one another.  Zion Lutheran Church, Seymour, is hosting a Blessed Are the Peacemakers seminar next Saturday, January 17, from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM to equip us in handling our conflicts biblically.  The cost is $35/person.  Call CrossLife Ministries at 812-522-8440 for additional information and/or to register.

ST. PAUL, CLIFTY, PRESCHOOL is now registering for the 2015-2016 school year.  Classes for 3 year olds (Little Lambs) and 4 year olds (Little Doves) are being offered.  Informational brochures are available in our narthex.

A SOUP SUPPER AND EUCHRE PARTY will be held at St. Peter, Waymansville, on Sunday, January 25.  The supper will begin at 5:00 PM ($5/person) and Euchre will follow at 6:30 PM ($5/person).  This is being sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, with all proceeds going to support Freeman & Susan Rohlfing, missionaries serving in the Silesia region of the Czech Republic.  Everyone invited.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS:  The LLL Spring Banquet will be held on Sunday, March 8, at 5:30 PM at the Immanuel Social Room, Seymour.  Tickets ($15.00) are available in our church office.
