WE COME IN PRAYER:  Almighty God, You have given us this good land as our heritage.  Grant that we remember Your generosity, be grateful for all Your blessings, and live an honorable life to Your glory.  This day we remember the sacrifices made by those who put their lives on the line for us.  We are grateful that many survived, and we shed a tear for those who paid the ultimate price.  May we never forget their devotion that has kept our freedom intact.  More importantly, we remember the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, Who paid a price He did not owe – to free us from a debt we could not pay.  Hear us for Jesus’ sake.  Amen.

WE COME IN PRAYER:  Heavenly Father, we have set aside this time to gain strength and conviction, to know gladness and forgiveness.  Father, we have set aside this time to be drawn closer to You.  Enable us to bring forth the fruits of righteousness in our lives, that You might be glorified, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.

PASTOR KEINATH will be out of town all this week.  Please contact        Pastor Jung for any pastoral care needed.

BUILDING FUND:  St. John’s congregation made a 5 year  financial commitment to expand our school and carry a loan.  We will be striving to complete our commitment by the end of 2017.  During this time of vacancy, we have the opportunity to utilize our offerings and gifts towards reducing our financial debt at a more rapid pace.  This could ease our financial challenge when a Call is extended to a Pastor.  This is a unique opportunity for those who have lapsed in their pledges to become current and for others to make contributions who have not done so.  As St. Paul says in Ephesians 4:16, “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

CONGRATULATIONS TO Thorn & Tara Murphy on the birth of their son, CHASE WILLIAM, Saturday, April 23.  Chase arrived weighing 5 lbs. 1 oz. and measuring 18 ins., and even though he arrived a little early, everyone is doing well.  God’s blessings to them!
